Tom Rickert is KYW Newsradio's Assistant Brand Manager and Director of Podcasting.  

 

In September of 2022 Tom was chosen to be the station's assistant brand manager. He manages programming on the radio and stream as well as handling imaging and production. Tom coaches and supports the on-air talent. As the Director of Podcasting he leads the team that tell stories on KYW's original podcasts including The Jawncast, In Depth, and 1-on-1. He's also the co-creator and producer of KYW's original true crime podcast Gone Cold: Philadelphia Unsolved Murders.

 

Prior to Tom's management roles he served as an editor, writer, and fill-in reporter at KYW.

 

Tom is an award-winning audio producer for KYW Newsradio -- his work has received multiple honors from the Regional Edward R. Murrow awards and the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters.

 

He joined KYW in 2011 after graduating from Temple University with a degree in Broadcasting, Telecommunications, and Mass Media. He grew up in West Chester, PA and now lives with his wife in Delaware County. 

 

When he's not mashing audio together or bringing stories about Philadelphia to life (wherever you get your podcasts), Tom is probably talking about baseball, snowboarding, at a metalcore show, or playing with his adorable dachshund named Dublin.
