Vik, who hails from Berwyn, PA, is a general assignment reporter for KYW Newsradio who started his professional career here  in 2023 as a part-time News Production Assistant. His first professional reporting assignment was covering Black Friday later that year. Two years later, he became the evening general assignment reporter.

The broadcast life began for Vik at Conestoga High School where he did play-by-play for several sports and worked on the morning show. A KYW Newstudies graduate himself, Vik spent two years at Syracuse University before transferring to Temple University during the pandemic to finish his undergraduate degree. At Temple, he worked at OwlSports Update, hosted a weekly music show on the radio station WHIP, and interned at QVC.

In his role at KYW Newsradio, Vik enjoys the variety that comes with general assignment and breaking news reporting. He’s covered everything from labor strife in the city, to the arson at the Governor’s mansion, to the Eagles’ 2024 Super Bowl win. Each day brings with it a new set of stories, and that prospect is as exciting as it is anxiety-inducing.
