Ariel Goodman is an award-winning bilingual investigative journalist, editor, filmmaker, and community media practitioner with over a decade of experience crafting compelling stories that center and uplift the voices of those on the frontlines of the struggle for justice. Her work primarily focuses on immigration and incarceration, using investigative and collaborative journalism as a tool to build community power and drive systemic change.

Throughout her career, Ariel has served as a senior editor, investigative reporter, and podcast and documentary producer. Her journalism has been featured in major national and international outlets including Latino USA, ProPublica, The Marshall Project, Democracy Now!, The Associated Press, El País, Univision, Futuro Media, and more.

Ariel is currently an Assistant Professor of Journalism at Temple University, where she teaches local urban reporting. Through her teaching, she strives to help shape the future of the journalism industry into one grounded in ethical rigor and moral clarity.
